    Title: Review and Prospect of Urban Sewage Activated Sludge Treatment System in the Past 100 Years
     Expert Profile: Peng Dangcong, male, professor, doctoral tutor, deputy dean of the School of Municipal and Environmental Engineering, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. The main research directions are the theory and technology of wastewater biological treatment and the simulation theory and application of drainage system. In 2002, he was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award of Baosteel. In 2003, he was awarded the Excellent Science and Technology Worker of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences and a member of the Environmental Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. He won the third prize of Shaanxi Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 1st) and the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Shaanxi Provincial Education Department (ranked 1st). Hosted 4 National Natural Science Foundation and 1 863 Program. He has published more than 50 research papers, including 13 papers by SCI. The papers published in Water Research in 1999 were cited more than 100 times by SCI publications.
     Member of the 3rd SBR Conference of the International Water Association (Queensland, Australia), Chairman of the Granular Sludge Branch; Chairman of the 10th International Anaerobic Society Anaerobic Conference (Montreal, Canada) Sludge Treatment Branch and Sustainable Development Branch; US Water Reviewer of the Water Environment Research, a journal of the Environmental Research Association (WEF), and reviewer of the International Water Association (IWA) Water Science and Technology (Water Sci & Tech) magazine.
