At the invitation of the School of Water Resources and Hydropower of Xi'an University of Technology, Professor of the “Thousand Talents Program” and “Changjiang Scholar” of Hehai University, Professor of State Key Laboratory, and Doctoral Supervisor Professor Yu Zhongbo at 9:00 am on October 29, 2018. :00 In the conference room 311 of the No. 1 Building, the academic report entitled "The Status and Development of Hydrological Science Research in a Changing Environment" was made. Professor Huang Qiang, Professor Chang Jianxia, Professor Hou Jingming, Professor Mo Shuhong, Associate Professor Huang Shengzhi, Associate Professor Jiang Rengui, Master, Ph.D. students from the School of Water Resources and Hydropower attended the report.

In the report, Professor Yu Zhongbo first introduced the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology, Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering, and then introduced the hydrothermal multiphase atmosphere-land-hydrological process/hydrothermal/solute in the context of climate change and human activities. The coupled model system of the process, and analyzed the challenges and difficulties of the key technical issues of big data hydrological multi-factor monitoring and forecasting. Professor Yu's research provides a new reflection on the study of hydrological real-time forecasting in the context of changing environment.

After the report, Professor Yu Zhongbo discussed with the teachers and students on the spot and answered the questions in the report. Yu also shared his views and opinions on wisdom and water resources. Teachers and graduate students actively participated. The atmosphere was lively and everyone gained a lot.
