The laboratory actively organizes researchers to participate in academic seminars at home and abroad. In 2014, at the invitation of the American Water Resources Association's Tennessee Branch, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and the University of Central Florida, Professor Huang Qiang and his team went to the United States for a two-week exchange visit from April 10 to 23. The field is mainly hydrological water resources and ecological water conservancy; from November 9th to 16th, 2013, the laboratory selected 15 young and middle-aged academic leaders to go to Taiwan to participate in the 17th Cross-Strait Science and Technology Exchange Seminar. At the same time, in the past five years, the laboratory has selected more than 10 young and middle-aged academic backbones to conduct guest research visits in the United States, Canada, Japan and other countries for half a year or more.

The laboratory actively invites well-known experts from home and abroad to lecture and academic exchanges in the laboratory, and introduces the latest domestic and international research progress to laboratory researchers and graduate students, and further expands the horizons of researchers. Over the past five years, the number of domestic and foreign experts and scholars who have visited the laboratory has reached more than 40 times, and more than 30 lectures have been held for the laboratory. For example, a delegation of 17 delegations from the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria, was invited to come to our school for academic exchanges and visits from October 11th to 13th, 2011. Through this visit, we will establish a friendly exchange between our university and the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria. Prof. Kitamura Yoshinobu and Professor Katsuyuki Shimizu from the Agricultural College of Tottori University, Dryland Research Center and Professor Katsuyuki Shimizu were invited to conduct an academic exchange visit at our school from March 21st to 28th, 2014.
